I'm on my way to greet my supporters here in Hazleton and I wanted to make sure you heard the good news. It is my distinct honor tonight to be the next Representative from Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional District.
The residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania have voted to take our country in a new direction. It's a new direction towards prosperity that I'm proud to be a part of.
Across the country, Americans are speaking out and making their voices heard. The message is loud and clear: fewer taxes, less spending, and more jobs. It's a message I'm going to take to Washington and fight for every day.
I thank you for your confidence in me and pledge to you that I will never forget who I'm working for.
I also want to thank Congressman Paul Kanjorski for his 26 years of service to the people of Pennsylvania. Though this has been a hard-fought campaign and we have had our disagreements, I know that the Congressman and I both agree that the United States is the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. I want to wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
